Asalaamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,

Inna lillahi wa ina elayhi raji'oon

There will be a janazah prayer today, March 26th, after Asr prayer at masjid Abu Bakr for the 2 children that were killed in the hit and run car accident this past Friday. 

As you can imagine the family is in need of assistance at this difficult time. A fund has been established in Zama's (the mother) name at      KEY BANK .

Ibn Kathir on Ayyub: The story of the Prophet Ayyub's vow to strike his wife Posted: 24 Mar 2013 12:41 AM PDT Ibn Kathir said: Allah said, "Take in your hand a bundle of grass and strike with it and do not break your oath." (38:44) The Prophet Job, upon him be peace, was angry with his wife and upset about something she had done, so he swore an oath that if Allah healed him, he would strike her with one hundred blows. When Allah healed him, how could her service of mercy, compassion, and kindness be rewarded with a beating? So Allah showed him a way out, which was to take a bundle of thin grass with one hundred stems and strike her with it once. Thus he fulfilled his oath and avoided breaking his vow. This was the solution and way out for one who had fear of Allah and who turned to Him in repentance. Hadith on Ablution: Every sin a Muslim commits will be washed away with the last drop of water Posted: 23 Mar 2013 09:53 AM PDT Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When a Muslim or a believer washes his face in ablution, then every sin which he committed with his eyes will be washed away with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, then every sin which he committed with his hands will be washed away with the last drop of water; and when he washes his feet, then every sin which he committed with his feet will be washed away with the last drop of water until he emerges purified from sin." Hadith on Prayer: A Muslim who prays twelve voluntary raka'at in every day is rewarded with Paradise Posted: 23 Mar 2013 09:25 AM PDT Umm Habiba, the wife of the Prophet, reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "There is no Muslim servant who prays for Allah twelve cycles (raka'at) everyday beyond what is obligatory except that Allah will build for him a house in Paradise (or he said: a house will be built for him in Paradise." Umm Habiba said, "I have never abandoned praying them after this." عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ كَمَا أُنْزِلَتْ، كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ مَقَامِهِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِهَا، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ الدَّجَّالُ لَمْ يُسَلَّطْ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ تَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ كُتِبَ فِي رَقٍّ، ثُمَّ طُبِعَ بِطَابَعٍ فَلَمْ يُكْسَرْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ". قال الإمام النووي في "المجموع": ومعنى "طُبِعَ": خُتِمَ وقوله : فلم يفتح إلى يوم القيامة معناه لا يتطرق إليه إبطال وإحباط. أهـ. أي يخبأ له عمله هذا ويكون له حجة يوم القيامة. أخرجه الحاكم (756)  ، وصححه الألباني (صحيح الترغيب والترهيب ، 1473).

Hadith on Misguidance: The Prophet fears for his nation the sword of the leaders of misguidance Posted: 02 Mar 2013 03:14 PM PST Shidad ibn Aws reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Verily, I do not fear for my nation anything but the Imams of misguidance, for when the sword is raised among my nation, it will not be removed from them until the Day of Resurrection." [Sahih Ibn Hibban, Number 4668, Sahih] عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي إِلا الأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلِّينَ وَإِذَا وُضِعَ السَّيْفُ فِي أُمَّتِي لَمْ يُرْفَعْ عَنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ 4668 صحيح ابن حبان كتاب السير باب طاعة الأئمة المحدث ابن كثير خلاصة حكم المحدث صحيح
